Mark Lalonde, M.A. - Vancouver
Mark Lalonde has lead the design and management of customized training programs for a wide variety of public and private agencies involved in human security and safety, law enforcement, investigations, regulatory compliance, public safety and security, and education.
As a senior Police Academy manager, he led the development of a highly successful post-secondary certificate program for non-police law enforcement and investigative agencies.
Mr. LaLonde is currently involved in a multi-year law enforcement training and capacity building project in South East Asia on behalf of the United Nations. He is also part of team funded by the African Development Bank working towards the development of locally administered community justice programs in southern Sudan.
As a researcher, Mark has examined law enforcement training efficiencies and effectiveness, police board governance, law enforcement use of force, and the broad justice and public security sector in the Eastern Caribbean through the International Centre for Criminal Law Reform, a UN affiliated agency.
